__ As to US side damages, 485 B29s and 212 fighters were lost. And 3,041 crews were dead or missing(ref.#5 pp119). Some crews who parachuted on Japan were executed. __ The figure above shows numbers of deaths of Japanese by the B-29 and other fighters campaigns. Two atomic bombs caused huge numbers of deaths, in addition, indiscriminative incendiary bombings in other cities also caused so much death.
