__ As to US side damages, 485 B29s and 212 fighters were lost. And 3,041 crews were dead or missing(ref.#5 pp119). Some crews who parachuted on Japan were executed.

__ The figure above shows numbers of deaths of Japanese by the B-29 and other fighters campaigns. Two atomic bombs caused huge numbers of deaths, in addition, indiscriminative incendiary bombings in other cities also caused so much death. The total number of civillians deaths is guessed 560,000 (without deaths of onland battle in Okinawa, ref.#5).
